Halloween vs Reformation Day
Hi guys it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope y'all are doing well. As y'all know today is Halloween. The title blog for this is Halloween vs Reformation Day my thoughts on that. I'm first gonna give history behind Halloween. Halloween started off as Hallows Eve saints day honoring saints (Christians) who were martyred and it was on November 1st. (People honored the Apostle Paul and Peter and other Christians who were martyred for their faith.) But overtime people dressed up like witches, warlocks, goblins, ghosts to "scare" evil spirits away! The date was changed to October 31st and name was changed to Halloween. Reformation Day is about Martin Luther former Roman Catholic who converted to Christianity wrote the 95 thesis on the door of the Catholic Church Little would he know that he'd be the "Father of the Protestant Movement" and many churches such as Lutheran, Baptist, Church of God in Christ, Pentecostal etc would come out of that movement. Plus Martin Luther emphasized the Christian own walk with God and priesthood for all believers. I'm not telling y'all what to celebrate but if you know me person you'll probably have a idea what I mean towards. I pray as a Christian to glorify God in all that I do and say. I choose to honor Reformation Day and side note Halloween has gotten "darker" "creepier", and even demonic. As a kid I celebrated Harvest Fest instead of Halloween. As an adult I celebrate Reformation Day to honor God. That's what I wanted to share with y'all. Blessings, be safe, and prayed up during this time of year. The body content of your post goes here.
