Dangers Of Watered Down Christianity
This is a subtitle for your new post

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I want to share a blog with an important but sober warning called ''Dangers Of Watered Down Christianity''. You might be thinking. ''What's the big deal and why is that a concern for me?'' Ladies if we really want to be honest there's been much concern especially in the church lately about what's really going on behind closed doors. I'm sure that many of us are aware that many pastors don't preach the ''fundamental foundations'' (such as talking about Jesus as Savior, Healer, Baptizer of the Holy Spirit, soon coming King, and the Bible being foundation) as they used to or they don't want to teach or preach messages about holiness, the End times, walking in love, homosexuality etc. I hope you ladies understand where I'm coming from. Side note, I'm not here to ''badmouth'',gossip, or ''trash talk'' other ''celebrity pastors'' but what I'm talking about is there are messages pastors refuse to talk about. I'm also deeply concerned about how people view Christianity today is something you just ''do on Sundays'', you go to church because ''it's the thing to do'', you go to church ''to socialize'', you go to church to ''critique the pastor's sermon'' and the list goes on and on. I'm concerned especially here in America that Christianity at best has been ''watered down''. Y'all might be wondering where am I going with this? Something that comes to mind especially mentioned in the book of Revelations 3;14-22 where John the Revelator/Beloved shares Christ's message to the church of Laodicea and many of us in the body of Christ are probably familiar with what Christ said to them. We know that Christ warned them about their current spiritual state stating that they're neither hot nor cold but lukewarm and He'll spit them out of His mouth! Whew! Listen y'all. Those are some pretty serious words for our Lord to say and if that doesn't put the fear of God in you by hearing that I don't know what will! I'm just saying! That's something to think about and really take to heart! He informed them they believe that they're rich and don't need a thing but they don't realize how blind, poor, and naked they were spiritually speaking! I know, right? Then Christ told them to buy from Him gold refined by fire then they'll become rich and to buy white clothes from Him to cover their shame and nakedness. He also told them to buy salve and put on their eyes so they could see clearly. Now He wasn't saying to buy ''physical things'' like we buy physical items when we go to the store. No Christ wasn't talking about that at all! He was telling the Church of Laodicea to ''spiritually buy'' from Him that's what He was talking about! I want to highlight when He said gold refined by fire I believe He's referring to them enduring difficult times in life and we know that other Scriptures in the Bible talking about being ''refined by fire''. Let's be honest ladies. Who enjoys going through the fire? I've yet to find one person who enjoys it! I'm just keeping it real and going through the fire isn't easy no matter how long or short of time you've been saved! But we know that going through the fire matures us as Christians, builds deeper intimacy with the Lord, gives us compassion for others that are going through, gives us a testimony, and my godfather says that also prepares us for heaven! Isn't that something? It appears that the Church of Laodicea was ''shallow'' at best and Christ wasn't having that! Christ got pretty stern with this church but we know that He was saying that out of love because later in those Scriptures says He disciplines and chastens those He loves and also asked the church to invite Him back into their building! Another thing I want to say about this is before we point a finger at the Church of Laodicea, if Christ would reveal Himself to the American Church today, what would He say? I wonder when's the last time an American Christian took the time to ask and reflect on that question. To be honest with you ladies I wouldn't be surprised that He'd say similar things to us as He said to the Church of Laodicea or worse! How can I be so sure about that? The sad truth is I believe that many in the body of Christ are lukewarm and that alone is scary. Another thing that's so sad but true is it seems like many American Christians are so ''spiritually shallow'' in their walk with Him! That's concerning and what's more heartbreaking is those who have been walking with Him for years seem to be the most shallow and some who are very mean-spirited too! I'm not saying that to be judgmental but if I can be brutally honest, isn't it supposed to be that the longer you walk with Christ the more you're supposed to be like Him? Not only that, the longer you walk with Christ, isn't it supposed to make you want to go deeper in Him, have more fruit of the Spirit, (especially love) and your heart being tender towards Him and others instead of being brutally mean-spirited? (Side note I've met some ''so-called Christians'' that are mean-spirited and it chilled me to the bone! Lord have mercy on those people and purge Your people who act like that!) Ladies I don't know about y'all but in these last days, God isn't looking for ''shallow Christians'', ''lukewarm Christians'', or Christians that are self-righteous which is another big problem of today. He's looking for people that are sold out for Him, willing to reach others for Him, people who have godly character, and people who are ready for His return! Ladies this should make us pray for ourselves as well as pray for the American Church as a whole in regards to these areas and more! Another point I want to make is I marvel at how many people, especially Christians who aren't willing to go ''all out'' for the Lord! What I mean by that is what if the Lord asks them to do something that's difficult would they still obey Him? What if He asks them to surrender a relationship, surrender their job or career, surrender a hobby, or leave what's comfortable to follow Him more fully even when it makes no sense? These are some examples and sadly many Christians say they aren't sure if they could do any of those things I mentioned! I can't stop thinking about how many people in the Bible went through those things and more and they followed God and loved Him no matter what yet Christians today so they don't know if they could do that! I believe we ladies should pray to the Lord that He'll help us to love Him above all else and pray for us to have hearts to love and obey Him even if it's painful or it costs us something. Think about it. Afterall, didn't it cost Christ His all in order for Him to save us? Of course we know that! We know if it wasn't for the cross and resurrection, where would we be today? So in closing ladies I believe it's important to reflect on our Christian walk and reflect what's going on in the American Church as a whole to see where we really are. I believe that the Holy Spirit has been trying to ''purge'' the bride of Christ especially in America (Side note John 15;2 talks about that!) to get us to the way He wants for us. I believe the Lord has also been trying to wake the American Church up, especially the past several years, not only to be aware of His coming but also for us to be better for Him, better live for Him, impact others for Him, and walk in our purpose! That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. This was a bit much of a sober message but one that I believe is important to be shared. I refuse to be a shallow Christian because I aim to go deeper and y'all should aim to go deeper in Christ too so the world can see more of Him through us. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Blessings to each of you ladies, happy Tuesday, and have a blessed week everyone!
