Hi ladies it's me again and hope y'all are doing well. I'm back with another blog but the theme is a bit different this time. Most of my blogs up to this point with the exception of my first, second, and Reformation Vs Halloween blog have been ''biblical themes'' especially about women in the Bible. I will include Bible verses in this blog as always but the title for this blog is called ''Enduring Challenges During The Holiday Season'' and share truths from God's Word about that. I know most of us celebrated Thanksgiving last week Thursday and hope and pray that everyone enjoyed it. Of course as we conclude the month of November in a couple of days, Christmas season is upon us. (Yes that's right we put up our Christmas decorations two days after Thanksgiving holiday!) I know that the ''most wonderful time of the year'' can be the most challenging. Perhaps you're reading this blog and maybe you lost a loved one this year, dealing with financial challenges, or having challenges in your relationships (family, friends, divorce, or romantic breakup) which can make this time of year a challenge. If that's you I want you to know you're not alone. The years 2020, 2021,and 2022 have been the most challenging times for me and my family. 2020 was the year of Covid (rumor has it that it's back on the upswing again!) and the years 2021 and 2022, we lost multiple loved ones and it was painful and challenging to get through the holidays during those years. But you know what? God's grace was sufficient for us and He got us through that. Some Scriptures I want to encourage you with during the challenges of the holiday season are Romans 8;28 ''All things work together for the good of those that love God and are called according to His purpose''. Another Scripture is Isaiah 61;3 ''He will give beauty from ashes joy instead of mourning a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness that they may be called trees of righteousness planting of the Lord that He might be glorifies=d'' And the words from Christ Himself in John 16;33 ''In this world you will have trouble but take heart I have overcome the world!'' I pray that this blog will encourage you and these Scriptures whether it's you or someone you care about going through a hard time during the holidays to remember that God is with you and for you. It's also important to have people pray for you and with you and surround yourself with positive people. Also don't be afraid to be honest with God that it's a hard time and believe He will meet you there as He did for me. That's what I wanted to share with you guys. Blessings, happy holidays, and have a good week in the Lord!
