The Tribulation Period Part 1

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog called "Why Aren't Preachers Talking About The End Times". Ladies when I was growing up in my former church "Discover Church" (I attended there for seventeen years from 2003 until 2020 and a member there for seven years from 2013 until 2020. I also got saved in 2005 and got Spirit-filled in 2012 there too) I used to hear End times messages a lot over there. (The church i currently attend for the past five years and been a member at for four years "New Life Assembly Of God Church" has sound doctrine and is led by the Spirit. Plus we transitioned from Pastor Kevin to Pastor Bowen as well and I mentioned that in previous blogs.) My former kids pastor Pastor Dennis talked about it and so did the senior pastor Pastor Brooks talk about it. They didn't talk about it all the time but the End times was mentioned enough times that I can remember it and it used to annoy me! I also watched Christian films that talked about the End times such as 1972's "A Thief In The Night", 1978's "A Distant Thunder", 1996 "The Moment After", 2000's "Left Behind" starring Kirk Cameron and those films used to scare me alot as a kid. I used to hear songs about Jesus coming back such as "Swing Low Swing Chariot", (Negro spiritual song) the late Larry Normans "I Wish We'd All Been Ready", FFH "Fly Away", and Sandi Patty's "We Shall Behold Him" just to name a few. But I'm hearing the End times stuff being heard less by sermons, music, and movies. Why? I believe for several reasons. Number one talking about the End times requires deep Scriptural and Holy Spirit knowledge. The sad truth is not every Christian and even pastors dive deep into Scripture like they should or have deep spiritual understanding over certain things but the End times message requires that. Second possible reason is because talking about the End times will confront ones character and reevaluate ones choices. When you hear or teach messages about Jesus coming back, it should impact your character and make you reevaluate your choices and it's doing it in my life since beginning the first Sunday of October this month! But some Christians and pastors don't want to change their character or reevaluate their lives. Thirdly they may not address it because they're afraid it'll scare their congregation and it forces them to address the truth. How many of y'all know that sometimes you have to tell the hard truth? The End times message maybe scary but it's necessary to be taught. The fourth reason they may avoid it because it's not "a popular issue" to address. A unfortunate trend these days is a lot of times pastors talk about what they want to talk about and what will "appeal" to the congregation but avoid topics that are unpopular. The End times message is not popular but necessary. The Apostle Paul told his "spiritual son" Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:2 and 3 KJV "Preach the Word be instant in season out of season. Reprove, rebuke, exhort with long-suffering and doctrine. For the time shall come when they will not endure sound doctrine but after their own lists shall heap to themselves teachers with itching ears". Whew! Could it be that pastors avoid End times messages because they only preach what people want to hear? Scripture warns against that philosophy. Fifthly they possibly avoid End times messages because some don't believe there is a rapture. Ladies I warned about that in another blog warning not listening to Christians and pastors who teach there's no rapture! They do exist believe it or not and you need to stay away from pastors who teach and preach there's no rapture because there is! They're going against the foundational teachings of Christ and leaders like that are "false teachers!" While everyone is making a big deal about "prosperity theology" whether it's true or false I believe a bigger issue is folks teaching there's no rapture and in my opinion that's worse than "prosperity theology". Why? The rapture is when Jesus comes in the air to bring saints living and dead home to heaven and that's the completeness of our salvation! Teaching against it is horrible and it can impact one's salvation! My godfather always says. "To be forewarned is to be forearmed" and the End times messages helps us as the body of Christ to be "forewarned" what's coming in the future so we can be prepared! Sadly pastors haven't been doing that and that's why God has put on my heart from October to part of November starting last year to address the End times messages because it's not being heard enough like it should. He also instructed me to write blogs about it too. Ladies we need to pray for spiritual leaders to understand the importance of the End times messages and the importance of preaching it! My godfather also was warned by the Lord in a dream that our Lord said many of His people aren't ready for the rapture like they should and that bothered me! It should bother you ladies as well too. That's why I'm addressing this and I'm not trying to be popular I'm just addressing the truth! We need a generation of spiritual leaders who could careless what people think, get themselves right before the Lord, say what needs to be said, and get the bride ready for our Lord's coming! Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm presenting another blog to you ladies called "Wrestling With Difficult Emotions And Questions". Ladies I don't know about y'all but I've had my fair share of wrestling with difficult emotions and questions. I'm sure many of you have as well. Maybe you received a diagnosis, got laid off from a job, having to deal with legal issues, dealing with difficult relationships, or dealing with broken dreams that can turn your world upside down. Ladies I want y'all to know that this past month my life has been a whirlwind in many ways. Of course many of us witnessed the brutal murder of Charlie Kirk which I know turned out world upside down. I'm also dealing with someone who I care about (actually a few people) dealing with difficult legal battles which I won't reveal who due to confidential reasons. It has not been easy process dealing with that, praying through it, or processing it but isn't that why we need the Lord? How many of you can relate? Ever had times you'd go to bed at night and wrestle with private battles in your mind over various things that happened during the day? Have you wrestled with disappointments, unfulfilled dreams, and deep heartbreak and wondered how long do you have to deal with that? Have you maybe asked God why? Listen ladies we've all been there at some time and guess what? People in the Bible have dealt with that too! In fact one Psalm that comes to mind as I write this blog is Psalm 42:10,11 KJV says "As with sword in my bones mine enemies reproach me saying, '''Where is thy God?''' Why art thou downcast o my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God for I shall praise Him who is the health of thy countenance and my God". Ladies I love how the Psalmist here was honest before God! As a matter of fact, the Jews in the Bible times were always honest with God about how they felt. Isn't that interesting? The Psalmist revealed that they were going through attacks and the enemies sneering "Where is your God?" Ever felt like that because I know I have! Ladies we will all have times when life and our emotions overwhelm us but we need a healthy outlet to deal with them. That's something that the Lord has laid on my heart lately is that I need better outlets to deal with frustrations and unexpected situations. We could ignore it, pretend it never happened, or stuff our emotions down or we can get honest before God and pour our hearts out. Ladies what I love about God is God isn't shocked or afraid of our raw emotions! People may not be able to handle our raw emotions but God can. Psalm 34:18 KJV says. "The Lord is nigh unto them with a broken heart and saveth such as be of contrite spirit". Whatever you are feeling today, just know that the Lord knows and it's more than okay to be honest with Him. I believe the most beautiful prayers to God are the most authentic and heartfelt prayers even in the midst of tears. Contemporary Christian artist Amy Grant back in 2010 released a song called "Better Than A Hallelujah" (I recorded it on YouTube three years ago) and the lyrics reveal that when we pour our brokenness before the Lord with or without words is better than a hallelujah, church bells ringing, or choirs singing! Why? Because God loves an honest heart! I want to encourage y'all today to go before God and tell Him your honest emotions and let Him comfort you. If need be reach out to a Christian counselor, (as I'm doing) talk to a pastor, or trusted prayer partner (I encourage y'all to come join my prayer meetings) to help you navigate your raw emotions as well too. None of us are immune from hard times but with the Lord we'll get through them and I need to remind myself of that. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog to y'all and it's called "The Exciting Day The Rapture". Why will the rapture be an exciting day? Jesus said in John 14:1-4 that He has prepared a place for us and He'll come back and receive us to Himself! The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18. "The Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with the voice of the archangel and the dead in Christ shall rise first. All of us who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the air. So shall we ever be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words ". Did you know that the Greek word for "caught up" is haparazo and the Latin word is "rapture?" It means to "catch away in a whirlwind". The Latin word "rapture" is where we get our English word rapture! The rapture will occur at the end of the "Church Age" (the time we're in right now) when Jesus and His angels will catch us saints in the whirlwind. That makes me think of the prophet Elijah in 2 Kings 2:11 caught on a chariot of fire which I believe the Negro-spiritual song "Swing Low Swing Chariot" comes from. With all the issues going on in our world I'm looking to going home to being with the Lord! I hope you ladies are as well. The bottom line is this world isn't our home because we are passing through. I pray that as we know our Lord is coming back, I pray that it will motivate us to be ready when He comes. How do we get ready? First by drawing close to Him in prayer and His Word, second live and share the gospel, thirdly ask the Spirit to work on our character especially walking in love and holiness, fourthly to be watchful,reverent, and anticipating His coming, fifthly help others with practical needs, sixthly to be active in our natural and spiritual gifts, and lastly to be a united glorious church. Another point I want to make is ladies God put on my heart to share about the End times starting last year in 2024 from the first Sunday of October through the third Sunday of November just the Sunday before Thanksgiving and He's asking me to do it again this year! I already began last week Sunday night that I shared about the rapture and I'm sharing about the rapture again at Bible study tonight! I hope as many of y'all as possible will be able to make it! Of course as the Sundays progress I'll be sharing about the tribulation period, second coming of Christ/Millennial reign, the Great White judgement, and New Heavens and the New Earth. I also will be writing blogs about it this month too in addition to writing about spiritual warfare as well too. I believe it's important more than ever before to share about the signs of the End times because i believe in my lifetime Jesus could return! That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog called "Battles Christians Face". How many of y'all know we're in a battle right now? I don't mean a natural battle but a spiritual one? The Bible has quite a bit to say when it comes to that and ladies I believe more than ever before spiritual warfare has intensified. What do I mean by that? I believe that the attacks of the enemy on our lives and even upon our nation has intensified as well. The Bible says in John 10:10 "The enemy cometh not but to steal, kill, and to destroy". May we never forget that we have a wicked enemy who seeking to destroy us, those we love, and our nation. Let me also make this point. We're in the month of October aren't we and we know that Halloween is at the end of the month. (I'll write a blog about it the last week of October as well as talk about "Reformation Day" too. I'll explain more about both when we get closer to it.) Ladies I don't mean to sound bias but I believe that the devil likes to act up even more in the month of October because of Halloween as well too. Well what does the Bible say about spiritual warfare? Well in Ephesians 6:11-12 says "Put on the whole armor of God that ye maybe able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual wickedness in high places". Ladies I believe more than ever before we in the body of Christ need to be brave spiritual soldiers in God's army in the last days. If the enemy is attacking us we need to fight back! The rest of Ephesians 6:14-18 talks about armor we need such as the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes with the gospel of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. Ladies soldiers in the natural prepare for battle. In our US military system we have the Army, Navy, Coastguard, Air Force, and the Marines and before they go into battle they do "boot camp training". I imagine it's rigorous, intense, and requires discipline for them to master "boot camp training" so they can be prepared to fight bravely for our beautifully broken country. If soldiers in the natural understand that how much more should spiritual soldiers (as well God's people are) be prepared for spiritual battle against the enemy? Another weapon of spiritual warfare that Ephesians didn't mention was praise. That's something God's been reminding me of is praise does help in addition to the armor that Ephesians 6 mentions. Ladies the battle is intensifying especially with Halloween coming up and our nation, who will stand and fight the foe? There's an old hymn called "Stand Up For Jesus" that reminds us we're in the battle, but God is with us, and He'll help us endure to the end. (Side note y'all can Google the lyrics for the old hymn "Stand Up For Jesus" and the lyrics are powerful.) Ladies the purpose of the online ministry "Women's Warriors" is to train women to be solid in the Word (Bible study) train women to be warriors in prayer, (prayer meeting) and train women to be spiritual leaders! There were plenty of warriors in the Bible too and I'll mention a few of them. King David was a warrior and we know he killed Goliath and was victorious in other battles. We know that Gideon was a warrior even though he had a lot of fear and despite downsizing the army to 300, they won over the wicked Amalekites. Deborah was a female warrior both naturally and spiritually plus was a prophetess, and judge of Israel mentioned in the book of Judges 4! That's interesting that the Bible mentions or even honors a female warrior since women back then hardly ever received honor or recognition apart from being a wife and mother! (Side note I believe that being a wife and mother are important roles for women since the Bible honors that but oftentimes the church as a whole and society don't always recognize a woman's worth outside the home.) In fact ladies because Deborah was a warrior that inspired me to call this online group "Women's Warriors"! But any rate, these are quite a few people in the Bible who encountered both natural and spiritual battles but God helped them overcome. If He could help them overcome battles how much more can we? It's important for us to remember who's team and whose side we're on being on the Lord's side. I believe we need to intensify our prayers and intensify our praise to fight the enemy but we're victorious. Before I end this blog, I want to encourage y'all to come to my prayer meetings all throughout this month. I believe it's essential to be prayed up with so much going on especially with Halloween coming up but with God we're victorious. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Hi ladies it's me again, happy Lord's day, and happy first Sunday of October! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. The title I have for the blog written for today is simply called ''Dating Game''. I know y'all might be thinking. ''Does this have anything to dow with romance because of the dating shows like ''The Bachelor'', ''The Bachelorette'', and ''Married At First Sight?'' No friends, this blog has nothing to do with that type of dating though that is important and can be addressed in a different blog at a different time. The '"Dating Game'' that I'm talking about is people putting dates on the rapture! Apparently someone claimed that the rapture would take place September 23rd of this year and I didn't know about it until later! I want y'all to know that this is not the first nor the last time that it happened! This took place back in 1988 six years before I was even born Edgar C Whisnant who died in 2001 wrote a book back in 1988 called ''88 Reasons Why The Rapture Will Happen in 1988''! Whew! How crazy is that? Unfortunately many people in the body of Christ fell for it but thankfully many pastors and theologians were like. ''It be nice if Jesus would come back in 1988 but only the Father knows about that.'' Well ladies I remember back in 2011 when it was my junior in high school (I'd later be a senior in high school the fall of 2011) when something like this happened again when a man by the name of Harold Camping who later died at 92 in 2013 also did what I call the ''dating game''. But before I mention what happened in 2011, Camping predicted the year I was born in 1994 that judgment day would happen either in September or October of 1994! Well none of that has come to pass and on May 21st 2011 predicted that the rapture would happen! Ladies I'll never forget I was seventeen years old, saved for six years, (I received the baptism in the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues in 2012 a year later) in youth group, and never forget how much commotion went on about that. At the time I was attending ''Discover Church'' (formerly ''Oak Creek Assembly Of God Church''. I wouldn't become a member there until 2013 before me leaving in 2020) and I'll never forget what Pastor Brooks said. ''Jesus could fool us and come tonight!'' He was bold against date setting and encouraged the congregation to do the same as well too. (I now attend ''New Life Assembly Of God Church'' Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights and I mentioned that at different blogs. I do have a spiritual covering I submit to apart from this online women's ministry. ) Well I'll never forget that Saturday May 21st 2011, I was spending time with my parents helping them babysit my cousins because my aunt was busy which was also the same day as my former youth pastor's birthday! I'll never forget when that prediction never came true, I remember thinking ''Really?'' Many Christians on social media began posting and rebuking how wrong Camping was stating what Jesus said in the book of Matthew 24;36 ''That no one knows the day or the hour neither the angels nor the Son but only the Father knows''. That was such a good reminder and it grieved me that someone would willfully disobey the Bible and tell the whole world when Jesus was coming back when our Savior still has no idea! I will never forget that as long as I live and I used to tease my former youth pastor on his birthday, was it the ''end of the world'' and he'll jokingly remind me it's not! Of course the purpose of the joke was because of the late Campings bad predictions! Now here we go again,we were at the beginning phases of Roshannah, a Hebrew holiday (I wrote a blog about that) and I heard that a man from South Africa Joshua Mhlakela on social media predicted that the rapture would take place on Roshannah! Get this y'all a nonAmerican Christian spread this on social media that the rapture was gonna happen! When will we God's people ever learn? Listen ladies, while everyone is making a big deal about the ''prosperity gospel'' and such I don't hear enough people being bold enough to rebuke rapture predictions. Again Matthew 24;36 says ''Of the day or the hour knoweth no man nor the angels nor the Son but only the Father''. When Christ said that, He meant that! That's the bottom line! We need to be watchful and aware of people who do that! But there's another group you also need to be aware of who teach there's no rapture at all and I literally thought that person was absolutely crazy! I even wondered if we even had the same Bible and wondered who told them Jesus was never coming back. That's also false teaching to say there's no rapture at all and it's also false teaching to come up with dates of the rapture. While everyone is making a big deal over ''prosperity teaching'' I don't hear enough Christians standing up saying. ''Don't you dare make rapture prediction dates'' or ''Don't ever teach there's no rapture''. Either way, people who promote there's no rapture or make rapture dates are rebellious to our King, leading people astray, and causing confusion. People like that need prayer, need to be rebuked, and warned by the Lord and people to stop that foolishness. Do I believe in the rapture? Yes I do! Do I believe in the importance of being ready? Oh yes I do! I plan to write more blogs about it and hopefully bring that back in Bible study to talk about it but I have common sense not to ever ''date set'' the rapture. That's why I call this blog ''The Dating Game'' people making rapture predictions, something that our Lord urged us not to do! All you people who set the rapture you need to repent and stop leading the body of Christ astray and those who teach there's no rapture at all, you need to repent because the Master told us in His Word He's coming back! Either extreme is not good and I wrote this to let you ladies know I as your leader am aware of things that go on that need to be addressed! If any of you ladies see stuff like this rapture date predictions or others claiming there's no rapture at all speak up and defend the faith! Defend what our Lord taught in His Word . The fact of the matter is nobody should go over God's Word and God Himself won't even dare do that! There's alot of deception going on so we need discernment and prayerful about who we listen to, especially these days. To let y'all know I'm covering the End times again in Bible study and I'd highly encourage y'all to join me for that since we'll be covering topics such as the rapture, the tribulation period, Second coming of Christ, Millennial reign, the Great White throne judgment, and the New Heavens And Earth. Sadly these topics aren't talked about enough in the body of Christ in either local churches or ''major churches'' as I call them but need to be addressed since it is true that our Lord is coming soon. My godfather always says ''To be forewarned is to be forearmed'' meaning that the more you know before time, you can make better decisions and prepare for what's ahead. Hi ladies it's me again and hope y'all are having a blessed week. Today in this blog I'm gonna share about something that I've never ever written before and the title I have for the blog is called ''The Importance Of Honoring Roshannah''. Alot of you maybe thinking, ''What in the world is Roshannah?'' Well first of all it's a Jewish holiday not a regular holiday. Let me share some of the names of Hebrew holidays y'all may have heard of and others you may not have heard of. Shavout, (Feast of Weeks) is mentioned in the book of John, there's Passover, (it often coincides with ''Holy Week'') there's Purim that's mentioned in the book of Esther that honors what the Jews went through being exiled and God delivering them, and Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles.) Side note, I'm not Jewish at all because I'm mixed with black, Mexican, and Indian culture to the core! However, for the past five years, I've been doing my best to learn the ''Jewish roots of Christianity'' and have been honoring Roshannah that occurs in the fall and Passover during the Spring! (Side note, that doesn't mean that I stopped celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine's Day, Good Friday, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July etc because I very much still celebrate those holidays and write blogs about them as well as enjoy time with my loved ones!) Again what's the purpose of Roshannah? Well let me explain this first. You know how after Christmas, people have anticipation for the New Year and we know that New Years Eve is December 31st and New Years Day is January 1st on our regular calendars right? Roshannah on the Hebrew calendar takes place at the end of the year which often occurs in late September early October is when the Jewish new year begins! Wow! I know that seems strange so technically I celebrate two new years one the Jewish new year which is Yom Kippour while not neglecting to celebrate the American new year on both New Years Eve and New Years Day! I felt I needed to explain that since I know that alot of Christians in America and around the world don't know hardly anything about Jewish holidays and felt I needed to make comparisons so y'all get the point. The purpose of the Jewish holiday, Roshannah (and it's also called the ''Days Of Awe'') where God's people take the time to pause, examine themselves, see if there's ways they need to change, and ask God to forgive them. How many of y'all know as people of God, there's always areas for us to grow and change in! If any of you or any other Christian thinks they don't need to grow and change in some way, they're in pride and that is not a good thing at all. In fact the Bible says in 1 Peter 5;5 ''God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.'' The other purpose of Roshannah is for God's people to humble themselves before the Lord, to seek the Lord more diligently in prayer, and even fast if need be. You might be thinking. ''Shouldn't we do that every year?'' Of course yes! How many of y'all know we should honor our Lord's birth, death, and resurrection throughout the year but there are times that we set aside to remember that? Those holidays are Christmas, (Jesus' birth) Good Friday, (Jesus' death) and Easter (Jesus' resurrection) that we take the time to honor so we never forget what the Lord has done for us! Roshannah and other Jewish holidays are no different because it forces one to stop, pause, reflect, pray, and fast about what areas one needs to grow in so God can pronounce a blessing on them for twelve months! I don't know about y'all, but I know that since Roshannah and even before Roshannah the Lord has been dealing with me in various areas with the help of the Holy Spirit and I know as a Christian there's always ways for me to improve. Isn't that the purpose of sanctification? Sanctification is the Christian yielding and allowing the Holy Spirit to purge and correct in areas they need to change so we can live more holy, walk in love, and be who God has called us to be in both this life and the next life. I believe that Roshannah and sanctification go hand in hand and I believe every Christian whether they agree with the Jews or not or understand Jewish holidays or not should study about Jewish holidays! As a result of studying Jewish holidays, only then can one practice them effectively! That also explains why in the month of September during Bible study, I've been sharing about the importance of change for Christians and nonChristians and I didn't do that for no reason. I did it because of the importance of Roshannah! Listen I know many of you know there's areas that the Lord may need to work on you on and I'd encourage you to celebrate this along with me. I promise to share more about this in blogs in years to come and perhaps explain more in the future how I began the quest of honoring Roshannah. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog called "Lessons We Can Learn From The Prophet Jonah". For those of you who may or may not know, on September 21st (which was last week Sunday) and tonight I've been sharing about the prophet Jonah in Sunday evening Bible study. That's part of the "Repentance series" I've been doing since the first Sunday of September September 7th! (On September 7th shared about King David's sin with Bathsheba and the prostitute in Luke 7 was forgiven by Jesus. On September 14th I shared John 3 about Nicodemus, Acts 9 about the Apostle Paul's conversion to Christianity and took Communion before the night was over. The second Sunday was a salvation message.) I'm sure most of us know the story of Jonah by heart as do I but I'm realizing that just because we may be familiar with certain Bible stories we shouldn't be "too familiar" with them as though we can't learn something! There's still so much to learn about the Bible in general and the first lesson we can learn from is when God speaks, He expects us to listen and obey. There's an old gospel song that says. "I'll say yes Lord yes to Your will and to Your way. I'll say yes Lord yes I will trust You and obey". Of course there's more to the song than that but what's the message of the song? It's saying with our heart and actions yes Lord yes no matter what! Plus the Bible says in 1 Samuel 15:22 "To obey ix better than sacrifice". Did Jonah obey? Of course he didn't! The Bible is clear that he rebelled against the Lord and took a boat to Tarshish! The second lesson to learn from Jonah is willful disobedience always leads to trouble. Remember what happened to Adam and Eve? God clearly told them not to eat the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil and what did they do? Well the enemy tricked them, they disobeyed God, and therefore brought consequences to them and their lineage because of their actions! What about King Saul the first king of Israel? God told him to completely destroy the Amalekites in 1 Samuel 15 but he obey? No he brought Agag the king alive and preserved some of the cattle to sacrifice! King Saul's disobedience caused him to not be right with God and cause his kingdom not to continue through his seed and ended up being given to King David! When Jonah disobeyed, God allowed a horrific storm to break out and the sailors he was riding with feared for their lives because they never saw a storm like that or since! Can trouble happen to you if you live for God? Oh yes! The Bible says in Psalm 34:19 "Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivereth him out of them all". Jesus said in John 16:33 "In this world ye shall have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world". It's one thing to go through trouble because it's a part of life and for righteousness sake but it's different when you live in willful disobedience it's to be expected. The next lesson that Jonah thought that running away from God would help him. How many of you know that you can't run from God? God is omnipresent! That means that God is everywhere at the same time! Psalm 139:7 says "Where can I go from the spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?" The bottom line is we can run from people but not God! Plus it's a foolish thing to do as well. Another lesson from Jonah is despite his willful disobedience, God used him to impact the sailors in the boat! Isn't that interesting? The storm got worse and Jonah urged the sailors to throw him overboard and the storm would stop. The sailors were hesitant at first until they had no choice. When they threw him overboard, they cried out to Jehovah God not their false gods for blood not to be on their hands because of their actions and promised to serve the Lord God! Wow! It's important for us God's people to pray to be godly examples for the lost as it says in Matthew 5:16 "Let our light shine before men so they see they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven". That's my prayer and that should be your prayer as well too. Of course we know the whale swallowed Jonah , he was there for three days and nights, and he also prayed. Then in the third day, the whale spit him out and it took a days journey to Nineveh and Jonah warned them to stop doing evil or God will destroy them. The people repented, revival broke out there, and God preserved them! Wow! You would think that Jonah would have been happy about the revival happening and lived being preserved but he wasn't. The last lesson to learn from Jonah was he did the right things, said the right things but lacked mercy and as a result got mad at God! Wow! Jonah didn't get angry at God for bad things happening but because God had mercy on Nineveh so God wouldn't have to judge them! Ladies I believe this is the most important lesson of all. We need to pray to the Lord that our hearts don't get like that because unfortunately there are "so-called Christians" today are like that. If something bad happens to someone who doesn't know Christ as Lord and Savior or a minister has "fallen from grace", alot of "so-called Christians" have a "Jonah attitude" and want God to judge people and not have mercy on them! Isn't that sad? God reminded Jonah that the people of Nineveh didn't know their right from their left and asked Jonah if he had a reason to be upset! We need to let the Spirit deal with our hearts so we don't have attitudes like that and we need to remember at once a time we didn't always serve the Lord and how much we needed a Savior. We need to have the heart of God and we need to continue to pray for souls to be saved and preserved from going to hell! That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. The title I have for this blog is called "Pray For Our Schools And Universities". You may be thinking. "Didn't you write a blog about that the day after Labor Day?" Yes I did. Actually the name of the blog is called "Prayer For Teachers And Students" and y'all can read that at your own time. But I feel the importance of mentioning it again because we witnessed another terrible school shooting at a college as a matter of fact. It was at a university where the late Charlie Kirk spoke at (I wrote a previous blog about him) and him being murdered the day before the 24th anniversary of 9/11. Ladies we've seen school shootings before with the Columbine shooting in the late 1990s, the shooting that happened in "Virginia Tech" in 2007, a shooting that happened at "Abundant Life Christian School " in Madison, Wisconsin, and a shooting happened at a Catholic school in Minneapolis, Minnesota this year just to name a few (Side note there have been more school shootings than that and that is very disturbing talking about it.) but this shooting that happened at "Utah Talley University" was different. All the shootings that I mentioned were mentioned in the news especially the local news but the latest school shooting went viral. Charlie Kirk's death was mentioned on CNN, social media, and newspapers so it was impossible not to hear about it. Either way though it's never a pleasure to hear about school shootings whether it goes viral or not. As I mentioned in the previous blog it grieved me to watch a YouTube clip of the college students running away in horror after the shooting occurred. I can only imagine the trauma that those precious students as well as Kirk's loved ones left behind are dealing with because of that. (Side note I talked about that in the previous blog.) Ladies join me in prayer to pray a prayer for protection over our schools, daycares, and universities. Ladies it grieved my heart and I know that it grieves God's heart that we witnessed two school shootings both in Minnesota and now Utah at the beginning of the school year. I truly believe that there are reasons for school shootings one of them taking prayer out of schools, kids not being disciplined as they should, no fear of God, and the enemy seeking to attack and destroy our young people. I believe those factors contribute to many school shootings and let us pray for the safety of our teachers and students. We can pray Psalm 91 and Psalm 3 over our teachers and students because those Scriptures talk about God's protection and His angels watching over folks. Ladies whether or not you have kids under eighteen or have college students, or if your kids are out of college, you have grandkids, nieces and nephews, or have no kids at all, think about how you'd feel in this situation. Would you want somebody you know them personally or not to cover you as a teacher, student, or a parent/caregiver in prayer? I'm sure you'd want that! Think how you would have felt if you were at school, daycare, or at a university and out of nowhere a shooting broke out? I know that would have been traumatizing which is why I'm bringing it up right now. I know it's been a couple of weeks since the shooting happened in Utah and since of the murder of Kirk, but we need to keep praying! We also need to pray that prayer get out back in our school systems because God is not obligated to bless anything He's not invited to! That's the bottom line. Ladies praying is absolutely essential! We in the body of Christ as a whole need to pray! The Bible tells us to watch and pray and to pray without ceasing! I'm asking you ladies to join me in prayer over our schools, daycares, and universities and pleat the blood of Jesus against anymore school shootings. I'd also encourage y'all to join me at my regular virtual prayer meetings to join me in prayer that way too. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm writing another blog and it's called "Pray For The Kirk Family & America". For those of you who may or may not know that on September 10th of this year Charlie Kirk spoke at a college and a young guy by the name of Tyler Robinson decided to shoot him! Whew! Another school shooting took place! Of course that caused a stirr in the media as well as many college students being frightened over what they saw. Not only that, many of them called 911 and I watched a video clip on YouTube about this and the dispatcher asked those who called 911 some questions. It was questions like "Where are you? Where's the speaker? Where's the shooter?" Many of those precious students had no clue where they were and I believe they were so traumatized trying to think straight and were too busy hiding for safety. That was so heartbreaking to watch it on YouTube to witness such horror and fear on those precious college students faces when this occurred. But to make matters worse, the shooter shot Charlie Kirk all in the name of disagreeing with politics and religion! We got to witness yet again another murder rooted out of such deep hatred and this spread all over the news and all over social media when it occurred. This is the first murder I've ever seen go viral since the 2020 brutal murder of George Floyd a black man who was unjustly shot and killed by a racist white police that it went viral on the news and social media. Acts like this grieve the heart of God and it devastates loved ones as well. I can only imagine the horror and sorrow that Charlie's widow Erika must be going through right now. To reveal a bit about her background she was a former beauty pageant and won Miss Arizona and got to represent Miss Arizona in Miss USA but didn't place. She attended a Christian college called "Liberty University" and got a degree in Christian leadership. That right there reveals that she's a strong Christian and she's also a podcaster and business woman! She's the CEO of Proclaim Streetwear a ministry project and works in real estate. She and Charlie Kirk dated in 2019, got engaged in December 2020, and got married in Spring of 2021. They had two children a daughter born in 2022 and a son born in 2024. Charlie Kirk was raised in Illinois and his mom was a mental health counselor and his dad worked as an architect for "Trump Tower!" Kirk grew up in a Christian home specifically the Presbyterian denomination but his faith became his own much later in life. In 2012 around 18 or 19 years and Kirk founded "Turning Point USA" and ran it to the time of his death this year. Not only that, Charlie Kirk stood up against the LGBT movement, disagreed against the "Separation Of Church And State", Christian nationalism, and believed that abortion was worse than the Holocaust. I believe because he was bold about his convictions it was viewed as a threat which is why I believe why Tyler shot and killed him causing Erika, her kids, the college campus, nationwide, and worldwide witnessing a horrible tragedy. To make matters worse this brutal shooting took place the day before the 24th anniversary of 9/11! I believe this murder shows how wicked and broken our nation is and how many believe that it's okay to shoot someone they don't agree with. Not only that, the shooter didn't take in consideration how that would impact Erika Charlie's widow and also the college students impacted by this as well. As I said stuff like this grieves the heart of God and if y'all can join me in prayer to really pray for our nation. Our nation is guilty for so much murder such as the blood of President Abraham Lincoln, President John F Kennedy, murder of Dr Martin Luther King Jr, murder of George Floyd, murder of babies, and now this. God I believe will hold our nation accountable for the murders that have been done and let's pray that the shooter will repent for murder and give his life to God so he doesn't do that again. Let's pray for Erika that God will comfort her and comfort Kirk's parents during this time, pray they feel the Lord's presence, and pray they don't get bitter at God despite this. Pray that God will give Erika grace to keep living and be a good mother to her children. Let's also pray for the college students affected by the shooting as well and I can only imagine the PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) they must be going through right now and also because it's another school shooting early to the school year. We also need to pray and pleat the blood of Jesus over our schools, daycares, and colleges and pray against the spirit of murder and pray for God's protection over those involved with our education system. We also need to pray against division and pray against the spirit of hate that's so rampant in our nation which is the drive that killed Charlie Kirk. Perhaps pray this moment is a "wakeup call" for us God's people to stand up for what's right, stand up for freedom, and live for God no matter what. Another thing to remember because the old saying goes. "United we stand and divided we fall" is very true and I believe this incident revealed how much division is in our nation and unfortunately the enemy has been enjoying it! Also many Christians believe that we also witnessed a "martyr" in our nation as well too which also should be a "wakeup call" as well too. Let's also pray for our nation to be able to maintain our religious freedom which I believe is the most important freedom of all to be able to live for God and worship God how we want. I believe if you take that freedom away, all the other freedoms are meaningless and the truth is I value religious freedom. I want y'all to know I'm aware of cultural issues and I've done much prayer and research before sharing this blog with y'all. There's so much to pray for but that's what I wanted to share with y'all.
