My First Solo Traveling Experience

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog called "My First Solo Traveling Experience". I'll share with y'all what I did August 2nd through August 4th. Let me say this I was part of a prayer conference from July 30th through August 3rd 2025. My godfather hosted it both on Zoom and in person. I wanted to make five nights in person but instead I had to make it the last two nights Saturday and Sunday and watch Wednesday through Friday on Zoom! (Others joined the prayer conference on Zoom and joined in person too.) I wanted to make the prayer conference in person and let me tell you what I did. My parents dropped me off at the "Milwaukee Intermodal Station" 6:10 in the morning, left Milwaukee 6:30 AM on a Saturday morning and didn't make it up North 6 PM at night! I was stuck at the bus station for almost two hours until Uber took me to my godfather's remaining prayer conference. (I mentioned at a previous blog that we celebrated my godfather's birthday the last night though he didn't forget to pray.) While there I took a shuttle to get around so I could Uber less and the people there were so friendly. It was so great to see my godfather and his colleagues there and they were happy and I got lots of hugs! My godfather was very happy too and I was happy to see him happy! I also got to have wonderful roommates as well too. I took the Greyhound bus to get to my destination there and had to take Greyhound bus back to Milwaukee. On Monday morning, one of my godfather's colleagues offered to drop me off at the bus station so I wouldn't have to Uber there! This was my first trip ever never going with family or friends. Well one friend stayed in town, another friend was at a tournament in another state, and my parents had training for whatever else. Plus I hadn't left the state in six years since traveling to California on a missions trip in 2019! God knew this was the trip that I needed as well and I sensed God's presence there. I plan to head back there after Christmas this year! I hope to go with friends this time but if not, I know can either fly or take the Greyhound bus. I know for a single female traveling solo whether on bus or airplane can be risky or scary. But I'm happy to say that God protected me and helped me every step of the way. This challenged me out of my comfort zone but isn't that what we have to do sometimes get out of our comfort zone? This will be a trip I'll never forget and something I'll remember forever and by the grace of God it didn't rain either! By the grace of God there were no car accidents which is something that I'm thankful for knowing how crazy drivers often drive! That's what I wanted to share with you ladies about my wonderful traveling adventure from August 2nd until August 4th 2025. That's why I wasn't at my home church "New Life Assembly Of God Church" and didn't lead Bible study Sunday night because of the prayer conference. Blessings to each of you ladies and have a blessed week everyone.
