Hi ladies it's me again and hope you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm back to sharing blogs during "Women's History Month" and the lady I'm sharing about today is a Christian lady named Joni Lamb-Weiss. What's her story? Well Joni was born Joni Trammell in 1960 in Greensville, South Carolina to Christian parents. She grew up in a Christian home, got saved as a child, and were members at "Tremont Avenue Church of God". When Joni was twenty years old in the year 1980, she met Marcus Lamb who was a guest traveling evangelist and he grew fond her. They started dating shortly afterward he was 23 and she was 20 years old at the time. Two years later in 1982 they got engaged and married and Marcus was 25 and Joni was 22 years old and they remained married for the next 39 years. They as a husband and wife for the next couple of years visited churches as evangelists and Joni would be known as Joni Lamb from that moment in. In 1984 they settled in Montgomery, Alabama where they purchased a full power television station and began teaching the Bible on broadcast television called WMCF-TV. That continued until 1990 when the couple sold the station to "Trinity Broadcast Network" (TBN) purchased it to pay off debts and they relocated to Dallas, Texas. While living in Dallas, Texas, they formed another station in the larger Texas market and their ministry continued to grow. The Lambs launched what is known today as "Daystar" in the year 1997 and it's continued to grow from that moment Marcus for many years was the CEO for that while his wife Joni was the CEO assistant of "Daystar". Daystar is one of the most known networks on Christian television broadcasts programs for people who speak Spanish, Joni does "Joni Table Talk", "Joni And Marcus", and have shared the gospel with many people all over the world. Beyond Joni's ministry, she and her late first husband Marcus Lamb had three adult children Jonathan a son and two daughters Rachel Lamb-Brown and Rebecca Lamb-Weiss. They also have many grandchildren from all three of their adult children and their adult children's spouses. Also their adult children are involved in the ministry as well too. Despite being in the spotlight Joni Lamb-Weiss has had her share of ups and downs. In the early to mid 2000s, Marcus had a extra marital affair but thank goodness repented to God and his wife Joni and God restored their marriage. For alot of ministers when a minister committed adultery typically it's a huge scandal and most of them sadly lose their ministry and people in the church sadly gossip about them instead of pray for them. But by the grace of God, "Daystar" continued to go on in the midst of that and Joni and Marcus's marriage continued to thrive. Fast forward several years then we enter the Covid era and "Daystar" continued to thrive despite Covid. In 2021 a year into Covid Marcus Lamb started having health issues with his heart and had Covid complications. Joni, her adult children, and many Christians were praying for him to heal from that only for the Lord to call him home to heaven in late 2021. Marcus Lamb was 64 years old when he went home to heaven when he celebrated 59 years as a Christian, (he got saved at five years old) did 49 years in ministry, (he began ministry three years before he finished high school in 1975) and was married to Joni for 39 years. Joni was 61 years old when she became a widow and many well known ministers supported her and attended Marcus Lamb's funeral. Ministers like Joel Osteen, Jentezen Franklin, Jimmy Evans and others were there to preach, pray, and give condolences to Joni and her family during that time. Joni would take over as CEO of "Daystar" when her first husband Marcus went to heaven and she spent six months grieving over the loss of her husband. But God would give Joni grace during her grieving and she continued to minister on "Daystar" despite what she was going through. God in time would put another godly man in Joni's life actually a Christian man she was already friends with a man named Dr Doug Weiss. The year this happened was in 2022 several months after Marcus Lamb went home to heaven when Joni was 62 and Dr Doug was 60 when the two of them grew fond of each other. Dr Doug went through a divorce of his wife Lisa was a well known counselor and author and was a frequent guest on "Daystar" which meant that Joni and Marcus knew him very well. Joni was surprised at Dr Doug's divorce but after that he asked her out and she said yes and this began her courtship. After several months of praying and dating, in March 2023 Joni announced her engagement to Dr Doug Weiss which shocked fans and three months later in June 2023 Joni and Dr Doug Weiss got remarried and was officiated by Jimmy Evans. She was 63 and Dr Doug was 61 when they got remarried and have blended their family together. Joni after she married Dr Doug Weiss told the world that her late husband Marcus Lamb used to say "Sweetheart if anything would ever happen to me and I went to heaven before you, I'd want you to remarry!" Joni would get angry at Marcus for saying that but then realized when he went to heaven in 2021 realized he was right. In 2024 Joni released her latest book "Through The Storm" where she shared her ups and downs and how God has brought her through it. So ladies there you have it. Another incredible Christian woman to honor for "Women's History Month". Blessings to each of you ladies and have a blessed week everyone.
HI ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog for the month of April and that is the story of Mary, Martha, and Lazaurus. You can read about this account in John 11 where Jesus sees them. The title of this blog is called ''What Is Dead Come Alive''. Most of us know that these guys were close friends of Jesus and we first read about them Luke 10;38-42 where Mary of Bethany sat at Jesus' feet while Martha was busy taking care of the house and other things. (I shared about that more in depth in the ''Mary Of Bethany'' blog for ''Women's History Month'' and another one back in 2023!) Anyhow in John 11 Christ and the disciples were busy traveling, ministering to the people and so on when they got word that Lazrus was very sick. Well Christ didn't leave right away but remained where He was. Now I don't know if because the Father told Him to stay back or that Jesus was overwhelmingly busy that He couldn't go over there but either case our Lord stayed back from where He was. It's unknown what sickness that Lazarus had but what we do know he was ''bedridden'' to the point of death and in our day we call it ''home hospice care'' and when someone is at that point it's very serious and only has days to live. That just shows how severe Lazarus's case was. We know that Lazarus died while Jesus was away and they buried him in the tomb. After awhile, Christ and the disciples finally arrived at Mary and Martha and both of them at separate times asked Jesus where He was and if He showed up sooner Lazarus wouldn't have died. What I love about both ladies is that they were honest with Jesus about how they felt something that we should take to heart as well too. Christ told them that He's the resurrection and the life and whoever believes in Him shall never die though they die which we know He meant that whoever lives for Him and love Him though physically they die spiritually they won't die which is something I'm very thankful for especially if we have loved ones who loved the Lord who physically died. Well they removed the stone and then our Lord wept. You might say, why did Jesus weep? Well to show compassion to Mary and Martha and to show He feels our pain. Not only did Christ weep but Mary and Martha likely had extended family members and neighbors who were mourning too. Then Christ prayed to the Father and then declared. ''Lazarus come out!'' Then the dead man came out walking and took off his grave clothes. To understand the significance of that Lazarus was dead for four days and the Jews believed if someone was dead for three days they could come back to life but it went past three days it was beyond impossible. I believe that our Lord waited for the fourth day to show that He can do the impossible when people say it's hopeless. When the miracle of Lazarus rose from the dead news spread everywhere and there was much rejoicing after that I can imagine. The other thing ladies is we're in the season of Spring as I mentioned in a previous blog where it's a time to bring forth life. I believe that God is asking us to believe what's dead to come alive. Maybe a loved one is ''spiritually dead'' (those without Christ or prodigals) to believe that He can save them and ''spiritually resurrect'' them. Maybe a dream has died, a marriage died, or a person or something else is dead to believe the Lord can resurrect it. I'm believing in the Lord to resurrect several things in my life as well too during this time. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies and I pray that this is encouraging to y'all especially since we're getting closer to ''Holy Week'' when we honor our Lord's closing time on earth from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday (I will write blogs in honor of Holy week as well) and encourage you during Spring to believe what appears to be dead to come back alive. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog and it's the month of April and the title I have for this blog called "The Season Of Spring". For those who live who live in Wisconsin or live in states such as Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, and East Coast states y'all know that we've been in the season of winter for a long time. What's up with winter? Winter for one is not a easy season by no means. Winter is cold, lots of snow, (depending where you live) trees rest, it gets darker faster, many animals go down South where it's a lot cooler. People dress warmer during the winter time as well. But what happens during Spring time? Well it's lighter longer, plants grow back, trees awaken, and farmers start sowing. The weather hopefully is not as cold and we can dress a bit lighter. Y'all maybe wondering what does natural winter and spring have to do with the spirit realm? Well we Christians know that just as we go through natural winter we go through "spiritual winter". The fact of the matter is going through adversity is part of the Christian life. In fact the Bible says in John 16:33 the words of Christ Himself who said"In this world we will have tribulation but take heart I've overcome the world". In Psalm 34:19 says "Many are the afflictions of the right but the Lord shall deliver them out of them all." I heard Contemporary Christian artist Jeremy Camp say that if none of us Christians never went through anything hard we would be "shallow, spoiled, and immature" people! Who wants to be known as being a Christian like that? Not me and certainly I'm sure none of y'all want to be known as that either! The "spiritual winter" and the storms of life are there to help us grow. But thank goodness winter or storms aren't forever. Spiritual spring is a time for refreshing and renewing and us being able to see clearly now. I don't know what season you ladies are going through right now and I've had my fair share of winter season naturally and spiritually. But I believe that now God is bringing me into the "spiritual spring season" and bringing me back to the place He intended for me to be. I pray that as we enter into Spring time in the natural I pray that God will bring y'all to the "spiritual spring" as well too. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. This blog is a bit shorter and I can't wait to share with y'all more that's on my mind the rest of the month of April.
Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present my last and final "Women's History Month" photo and what's that? A lady that doesn't get talked about much in the Bible and that is the Queen of Sheba! I've already written in "Women's History Month" honoring two black women and they were Dr Cindy Trimmed and evangelist and gospel artist Dorinda-Clark-Cole. Well I'll be writing about one more black woman and she was a woman who traveled the ends of the earth to meet King Solomon. Who's King Solomon? King Solomon was the youngest son of King David (you know the one who killed Goliath, sinned with Bathsheba, became king, was a warrior, and wrote the Psalm etc) who became king after him and was the third king of Israel. Also King David wanted to build the temple because King David had a heart to worship but the prophet Nathan and God told King David that wouldn't happen but King David layed up things in order so that his son King Solomon would have what he needed to build the temple. King David was a battle king but King Solomon never fought a battle because he built his house and the temple. He was a builder not a warrior! The Bible also said that King Solomon was the wealthiest king who ever lived after he asked God for wisdom in a dream and it manifested when he was awake! Where does the Queen of Sheba come in? 1 Kings 10:1-13 mentioned her traveling to Jerusalem by her chariot and had with her spices and precious stones with her. She traveled to meet King Solomon the Bible says and would share with him what was in her heart and tested him with hard questions. Well to her amazement King Solomon was able to answer those questions and when she saw his wisdom, his house, food on the table, servants, and went to the temple she was in absolute awe! She went on to tell King Solomon that she heard about his wisdom and heard about his wisdom and prosperity but didn't believe it until she saw it. She would say unto him. "Happy are they men, happy are they servants, which stand and continually before thee and hear thy wisdom. Blessed be the Lord thy God which delighted in thee to set thee before Israel because the Lord loveth forever made thee king to do justice and judgement." Then she gave to King Solomon 120 talents of gold and gave him an abundance of spices. King Solomon in turn blessed her with many things too before she and her servants returned back to her country. The Queen of Sheba a pagan black ruler saw something different in King Solomon. She saw how wise he was, what servants he had, his wealth, and most of all his walk with the Lord that she would give glory to the God of Israel. King Solomon shined for God as it says in Matthew 5:16 "Let your light shine before men so they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." That's what King Solomon did and because of that the Queen of Sheba would hear about the one true God. I pray that we ladies would live in such a way that our light shines before men as the Bible says to and as King Solomon did so that others will see the love of Christ through us in word and deed so others would be drawn to Christ. The point of Christianity is to make godliness attractive and that's what King Solomon did! That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. This is my last blog for "Women's History Month" for the year 2025 and looking forward to sharing more blogs for "Women's History Month" in 2026. Hi ladies I hope that y'all are doing well and Happy Women's History Month! I'm happy to present another blog to y'all and it's from another female character in the Bible we may not hear about very often. She's mentioned in 1 Samuel 25 1:-42 is when we hear about her. She was a beautiful godly woman with great character but she was married to Nabal which means fool. David (same guy who killed Goliath) and his men were running from wicked King Saul in the wilderness of Paran. David and his men asked Nabal a favor to help them and give them some food. That doesn't seem too much to ask doesn't it? Well Nabal treated them very evil and said he wouldn't help them. Abigail's servants told her about it and how Nabals mistreatment of them stirred up David and his men plotting to kill them. Abigail was very distressed when she heard that so she made some food and rode a donkey to find David and his men and explained to him what happened. She said to David "Don't take regard for Nabal he's exactly what his name is fool. As the Lord liveth may the Lord withhold thee from shedding blood. Forgive thy trepass of thine handmaiden and yet a man is risen to pursue thee to take thy soul. May there be no blood shed or you avengeth yourself but the Lord and remember your handmaiden!" Wow! She by the grace of God was able to talk David out of killing her husband despite the fact he was wicked! David then said to her. "Blessed be the Lord of Israel and blessed be thou who kept me from shedding blood and kept me from hurting thee!" Then Abigail gave David and his men some food and they went their way. As that was happening Abigail found her husband Nabal feasting like a king and even drunk but she held her peace until the next day. The next Abigail shared with her husband how she helped David and his men because he was sober and his heart became a stone. Ten days later the Lord smote Nabal he died. David said to Abigail. " Blessed be the Lord that He kept his servant from doing evil and the Lord retuned the wickedness of Nabal to his own head." Then after that Abigail became one of David's many wives after that! Wow! A few additional Scriptures come to mind when I reflect this story. The Bible says in Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceitful and beauty is fleeting. But a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Romans 12:19 says "Dearly beloved avenge not yourselves but rather give place unto wrath. For it is written '''Vengeance is mine I will repay saith the Lord''' Romans 8:28 "We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose." The bottom line is God used Abigail to talk David out of doing a wicked thing without manipulating him and acted as though Nabals wickedness as her problem and asked forgiveness for that even though it wasn't her fault. Wow! Abigail was a wise woman and she knew David had a calling on his life and knew that taking another life would have been a hindrance to him, his integrity, and his walk with the Lord. God also saw what Naval had done and God Himself pronounced judgement. What a lesson for us not to take matters into our hands despite how hard it maybe and how important it is to listen to godly advice. Abigail's godly advice not only kept David from sin but after Nabals death she married him! God gave Abigail a better husband than the former! Wow! Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. We're still in "Women's History Month" and I now want to honor women from the Bible which is the original foundation for everything! I want to honor and share about Mary of Bethany! Who is Mary of Bethany? She's the sister of Martha and Lazarus. Most of all we know that she is one of Christ's dearest friends besides His inner circle of friends (Peter, James, and John) and Mary Magdalene. We first heard about Mary and Martha in Luke 10:38-42 where they invite Jesus into their house. Martha is doing "house work" while Mary sits at the feet of Christ to spend time with Him. Of course we know Martha complains and Christ reminds her what Mary is doing the right thing. The second time we hear from Mary and Martha is mentioned in John 11 where Lazarus is sick (in hospice care in our day) to the point he does. They motioned for Jesus to come but Christ didn't come until days later. Christ mourns with Mary and Martha when Lazarus died but promised he will rise again.(It shows us that Jesus cares for those who mourns and promises to be our Comforter. That's a blessing to those who are grieving that our Lord cares. ) Christ called for Lazarus to come out which brought joy to Mary and Martha! Then in John 12:1-8 we read that Christ spent some more extra time with Mary and Martha and Lazarus and they're having dinner. Martha is serving as usual Christ and the disciples are at the table. Mary of Bethany decides to pour oil on Jesus' feet and wipe them with her hair. (In Luke 7:37-50 mentioned about a unnamed prostitute who poured oil on Jesus' feet with her tears and wiped with her hair. Christ said her sins are forgiven. That's a beautiful but different account.) Mary of Bethany I believe did this out of love and gratitude towards Jesus but Judas Iscariot said to her. "Why waste this ointment cost a yearly wage and given to the poor?" But Christ rebuked him and said. "Leave her alone! For the day of My burial she has kept this". You see Mary of Bethany wasn't afraid to show her love for Jesus and neither should we. I pray that it motivates us women of God to be unapologetic in our love for Jesus by spending quality time with Him as Mary of Bethany did and pour our love for Him during praise and worship time. Her pouring oil on Him was an act of worship! I pray that it motivates us to love our Lord and Savior more lavishly so the world can see Him in and through us and want what we have. Mary of Bethany was known for her love for Jesus and so should we! That's what I wanted to share with you ladies today. I wanted to go back to the women of the Bible (the Bible is our foundation) to honor them and their legacy something we should apply to our lives today. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm going to "shift gears" for "Women's History Month" and share about a Christian man called Patrick and the title of this blog is called "Meaning Behind St Patrick's Day". We know that it's tomorrow on Monday but few people know the actual story of Saint Patrick. Patrick wad born in Britain or Scotland History Dad was a Senator and tax collector and grandpa was a priest. But Patrick didn't care about the things of God in his youth but when he turned sixteen his life drastically changed. He was taken captive by Irish pirates from Britain and his family to Ireland and was a slave for six years! Sound like Joseph in the Old Testament in the Bible? While in captivity he worked as a shepherd and in the midst of that had a experience with God and got saved! Wow! God used that brutal life as a slave to grow deeper in prayer and his relationship with the Lord. After living in Ireland as a slave he was able to return home by ship back to Britain and got to reunite with his family in his early twenties. Then he had a vision about a man and a group of people crying out "We appeal you holy servant come and walk with us!" He didn't want to return at first but he did it anyway. He was met with resistance at first but overtime God gave him favor and gave him grace to return to Ireland (the place that enslaved him) as a missionary! Isn't that interesting? We in the Church as a whole (especially the Assemblies Of God denomination) honor missionaries and here Saint Patrick is one! He led many people to Christ such as princes, baptized thousands of people, leading slave owners, and others to Christ. He ordained priests to lead new Christian communities! Wow! Because of Saint Patrick the gospel was able to spread throughout Ireland and what the enemy meant for evil God turned it around for good! God used slavery and Patrick's kidnapping to Ireland to see his need for Him and to eventually put a calling on his life as a missionary! I think about the life of Joseph in the Old Testament in Genesis 50:20 when Joseph said to his brothers "You meant for evil against me but God meant it for good to preserve the lives of many people ". Of course alot us know the story of Joseph how he too was sold into slavery from Canaan to another country to Egypt, endured slavery, working for a prison system, and later becoming prime minister in Egypt in addition to him marrying and having a family (His wife is Asna and his sons are Manassah and Ephraim) as well as reconciling with his brothers, their households, and aging father Israel! God used the evil with Saint Patrick and Joseph in the Old Testament to preserve many lives in two different foreign countries. For Joseph in the Old Testament it was to preserve Egypt and the nations from famine while for Saint Patrick it was to spiritually persevere Ireland! That's why we celebrate Saint Patrick's Day wear green, eat cabbage, and wear green because it comes from Ireland but I hope you ladies understand why we celebrate Saint Patrick's Day! Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. In continuation of "Women's History Month" I'm writing another blog about another strong black woman whose name is Dr Cindy Trimms-Tomlinson. She was born in 1958 and born in Bermuda. She is number six of seven kids and was raised by a single mom. As you probably would imagine how challenging it was for her mom to raise seven kids and with many mouths to feed. There was poverty and her mom struggled to both provide and be caregiver for her kids. But when Cindy was eight years old something changed for her. She decided to run errands for neighbors and would learn how to be a entrepreneur in baby steps! Because she ran errands for neighbors she gained money and was able to pay for ballet lessons. As time continued to progress fast forward and she's now seventeen years old. She experienced rejection by her earthly father but that was also the time she gave her life to Christ and left many in her family to get saved too. She later went to college to study education and thought she'd be a "traditional teacher" but God has other ideas. She would become senator of her country, open many businesses, and even become a minister! (She was the first female senator in her country which is a big deal!) She would become a life coach, motivational speaker, and author too. Wow! What a woman of many gifts! She authored some books such as "Command Your Morning", "The Prayer Warrior Way", "Heaven Invades Earth", and "40 Day Soul Fast" to name a few! She also spends lots of times mentoring others which is a form of teaching in a way! She later moved from Bermuda and immigrated to the United States in Stockbridge, Georgia. She also has ministered and preached to others impacting many for the kingdom of God. But despite her thriving walk with the Lord, ministry, business life, life coaching, and writing books she like many women desired a family. But that desire wasn't easy either. Sadly many men she dated would try to get her to "dumb down" to fit to "their image". I'm fact in her early twenties a guy she dated told her to choose between "career and marriage" and she refused to continue on in the relationship! She dated many men and many of them wanted to marry her if they'd have a "traditional family". But Dr Cindy Trimms refused to settle, kept living for God, living life, and continued on in ministry and business until one day the Lord brought a wonderful Christian black man Pastor Russell Tomlinson into her life. Actually they knew each other twenty years prior when he was a colleague of hers. She knew his first wife Renace and knew their four kids three daughters and a son and were good friends. But they lost touch with each other for many many years until later when they "reunited" he told her his first wife Renace died and went to heaven making him a widower. But he grieved well though and trusted that God had a plan for him and his family in the midst of that. He also has grandkids from his first marriage as well too and after awhile, he and Dr Cindy fell in love and she sensed he was "the right one". Also Pastor Russell's adult kids and his young grandkids adopted Dr Cindy as well which would make Pastor Russell to propose to her and marry her in 2018! She wore her princess ball gown dress, it was Dr Cindy's only marriage and Pastor Russell's second marriage since his first wife Renace's death was in 2015. Dr Cindy Trimms has gained adult step-kids and young grandkids from Pastor Russell and she loves being married! She had a wonderful life as a devoted Christian single but married life for the past seven years was "worth the wait". She and Pastor Russell happily continue on to minister and he supports her dreams and he supports his dreams while they continue to live for God, love each other, and blend their family! Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to do my third blog for "Women's History Month" and that is honoring the life of Dorinda-Clark-Cole. Last year I honored her sister Karen-Clark-Sheard and if I'm not mistaken I honored her niece Kierra Sheard and they all are Christians and well known gospel artists! But first let's share about Dorinda-Clark-Cole's history. Here we go. She was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1957 her birth name being Dorinda Grace Clark to the late Elbert and the late Mattie-Moss-Clark. Dorinda is the second youngest child in her family and has four older siblings. Their names are Leo Jr, (her only brother and is the oldest of the clan) Jacky-Clark-Chisolm, (birth name Jacqueline) Denise-Clark-Darchell, and Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark-Terrell. She has one younger sister named Karen-Clark-Sheard (birth name Karen Valencia Clark) Dorinda and her four sisters gave their lives to Christ at a young age and grew up singing in their father's church with their mom Mattie who was the music minister and taught all her daughters how to sing. After her parents divorce in 1973, Mattie continued to push her children to sing as well as continue to grow in their walk with the Lord. While many children in the 1960s and 1970s would play outside Dorinda and her sister would spend that time practicing. Dorinda is known as the "jazzy sister" and is known for scatting and rifts as well as her soulful sound in her voice. "The Clark Sisters" released two independent albums called "Jesus Had Alot To Give" and "Dr Mattie Moss Clark Presents The Clark Sisters". In 1974 "The Clark Sisters" were signed to gospel label called "Sound Of Gospel" records and released albums such as "Unworthy", "Count It All Joy", "He Gave Me Nothing To Lose", and "My Living In Vain" topped the gospel music charts. They'd be known for singles such as "Overdose Of The Holy Ghost", "Speak Lord," and "Expect Your Miracle". But their most well known album they released as a group is called "You Brought The Sunshine" and "Sincerely" popular single "Name It Claim It". Those singles and albums topped the gospel music charts but also Billboard charts too! It was rare for gospel artists especially back then to have gospel songs crossover to secular Billboard charts. But they did it by grace of God without compromising their relationship with the Lord. "The Clark Sisters" would win NAACP (national association advancement for colored people) and win two Grammy awards too. "The Clark Sisters" continued to release more chart topping albums as a group, while marrying and having families, and dealing with the loss of their mother Mattie-Moss-Clark. But life continued on and many of the sisters pursued solo projects. Dorinda released her self-titled solo debut album in 2002 which established herself as a solo artist and win two Stellar awards for that. She released more solo albums called "The Rose Of Gospel", (2005) "Take It Back", (2008) "I Survived ", (2011) "Living It", (2015), and rescent project "Determined" (2024). Dorinda in addition to her music career also is known for being an evangelist as well too. She is a licensed evangelist and has preached both in the United States and in many foreign countries such as England, Japan, and France just to name a few. Dorinda in her personal life has been married to Gregory Cole which is where she gets the last name Cole from. They have two adult kids a daughter named Nikkia-Cole-Beach and a son Gregory Cole Jr and they have grandkids too. Dorinda has suffered ups and downs and at one time suffering depression and even attempted suicide! She said she was speeding while driving up to 80 miles an hour about to drive off the cliff. The Lord spoke to her and said "Dorinda, Are you going to let everything you invested go down the drain? Peace be unto you." She grabbed the steering wheel and praised the Lord He stopped her from committing suicide! There you have it ladies. I wanted to honor a woman of color and another woman of faith. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present my second blog for "Women's History Month" and that is the one and only Jen Lilley. She maybe a "less popular person" compared to the previous person I wrote about Lisa Bevere but it's not about "popularity" but impact. Jen Liley was born Jennifer Lilley born in Roanoke, Virginia in August 1984 to Ellen and her husband Vincent Lilley. Her dad Vincent was a judge and her mom Ellen was a director of a women and kids charity. She has three siblings two brothers Michael and Ryan and one sister Katherine. She graduated from "Cave Spring High school" in 2002. She later attended "University of Virginia" early and received honors. She went to college to study for acting before graduating even though she wondered if that would ever come true. She starred in independent films in college and after she graduated from college. She also got cast for "General Hospital" as which was an emergency recast part. She also starred in two major films such as "Revelation Road" 1 & 2 (It's based from the book of Revelations) and "The Book Of Esther" in 2013! It was also in 2013 she starred in soap opera "Days Of Our Lives" as Theresa Donovan is what "put her on the map" in acting if you will. She did that from 2013 through 2016 but reprised her role briefly in 2018. She would transition into "Hallmark movies" and "GAC" with Great American Family and has starred in many Christmas films such as "The Spirit Of Christmas", "A Dash Of Love", "Mingle All The Way", "Paris Christmas Waltz", and "Operation Mistletoe" to name a few. She also is a talented musician and has released her Christmas E.P. "Tinsel Time" in 2015 with five songs on there and the majority are traditional Christmas carols. In 2020 she released an independent album called "Hindsight" with ten songs on there. But she's also known is for her heart of generosity is what makes her stand out. She's known for supporting foster kids and am ambassador for child abuse and treatment such as the "Dave Thomas Foundation" and "Children Of The Night". But most of all even beyond her acting, music, and philanthropy projects Jen Lilley is a Christian and a woman who loves the Lord. That can be very tricky in a world of entertainment. She even struggled with bullimia for awhile but she credits the Lord and others helping her through that. She also had been married to her husband Jason Wayne since 2007 and is a wonderful Christian man and engineer. He has supported Jen in her walk with the Lord (he's strong in his Christian faith too) and has supported in her entertainment career and has dealt with ups and downs in marriage. Unfortunately like many married couples despite them being strong Christians they struggled with infertility. But in 2016 nine years into their marriage they were able to foster parents to Kayden born in 2016 and Jeffrey born in 2018. Kayden would be adopted in 2019 and Jeffrey would be adopted in 2020. In addition to Jen and Jason fostering and adopting they also suffered a couple of miscarriages which I can imagine was devastating. But despite that God opened her womb and she bore two biological daughters named Julie Evangeline born 2019 and Jacqueline Grace born in 2022. There you have it. Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. Well last month February was "Valentine's Day" and "Black History Month". Well the month of March "St Patrick's Day" is coming up (I'll write a blog in his honor) but March is also "Women's History Month!" In honor of "Women's History Month" I'm gonna be sharing about a Christian white by the name of Lisa Bevere! That name should sound familiar because many of you may or may not know she's the wife of John Bevere author of books such as "The Bait Of Satan", "The Fear Of The Lord", "Heart Ablaze" "Good Or God", "Killing Kryptonite" just to name a few! The name John Bevere should sound familiar and how God has used him to impact the body of Christ and this world. But in this blog we're going to honor his wife and share her story. Her husband John was born in 1959 is the youngest of six kids (has five older sisters) and raised with happily married parents. (Both his parents became Christians in their latter years before the Lord called them home to heaven.) On the contrast Lisa was born in 1960 and was born in a dysfunctional family home. She has one brother and grew up in a home where her parents were married and unfortunately divorced twice. (Her late grandmother was married four times and divorced that many times too.) She lived in a home with constant conflict, the occult, alcoholism, and abuse were the norm. What? That was Lisa Bevere's environment? Yes it was! She later had cancer when she was five years old and had issues with one of her eyes! Wow! A cancer survivor? Yep! Lisa would make bad decisions such as drinking, getting into pornography, and be part of sexual gymnastics team! She later attended "University of Arizona" after graduating from high school in 1978 and dated lots of guys. She also was bullimic and had lack tose intolerance (allergic to dairy products) Wow! What life before she got saved! One day in 1981 she was 21 and John was at a Bible study picnic and that's where she got to hear the gospel of Christ. John who was 22 shared the gospel because he got saved two years earlier when he was twenty years old in 1979 after years of being a devoted Catholic. (As I said his late parents didn't get saved until their latter years and I believe it also was because they were devoted Catholics for many years too.) He shared from Genesis to Revelation and the Spirit of God tugged on Lisa's heart and she gave her life to Christ that day! Not only that, John urged for Lisa to ask God to receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit which she did and the Lord healed Lisa from bullimic and from being lack tose intolerance! Wow! What a radical transformation! She also quit drinking, quit pornography, and quit the sexual gymnastics team as well. She did a 180 that's for sure! She and John dated that year while John graduated from college and worked as an engineer. (He later went to Bible college and graduated.) In 1982 Lisa who was 22 and John who was 23 got married and has been married for now 43 years! They later would have four sons Addison, Alec, Austin, and Ardin. All their kids are adults and many of them are married and have kids causing John and Lisa to be grandparents! But life wasn't always easy for them. They had many struggles in their early years of marriage and walk with the Lord. They had issues in their character and dealt with even abuse in their early years of marriage if you can believe that! (They reveal that in their 2015 book "The Story Of Marriage" when they share about their years of "hell" before God changed and restored their marriage!) But it was through those struggles is what would birth the walk with Christ and birth the ministry that they have today. (Lisa would have to "unlearn" what not to do in her marriage if she didn't want to make the same mistakes her late parents and late grandmother made with the help of the Lord.) Also John Bevere her husband was associate pastor at different churches before he and Lisa started "Messenger International" and before writing their own books. John started his writing journey first and later Lisa would follow him in writing and wrote her first book in 1996 called "Out Of Control And Living It". She wrote more books such as "You Aren't What You Weigh", "Nurture", "Lioness Arising", "Girls With Swords", "Without Rival", latest one "Fight For Female" to name several. She has spoken at many women's conferences and coached many people with and without her husband and has been a well respected leader in the body of Christ along with her husband. She's a woman I admire too especially for coming a long way coming from a dysfunctional household and not living for God to being a strong Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, minister, and author. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies today and hope you enjoyed it. Stay tuned because there are more stories for me to write about in the month of March in honor of "Women's History month".
