Hi ladies it's me again and happy Tuesday! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. The title I have for this blog is called ''Happy Teacher's Appreciation Day'' blog. I'm gonna share in this blog why it's significant, it's history, and how it applies spiritually too. Here's the thing, teachers both naturally and spiritually are precious. If you're a teacher reading this or know someone who is, let them know how much you love and appreciate them. Now the history of this got started back in 1984 though technically President Rossvelt and other presidents only wanted it to be a day but then decades later decided to honor teachers a whole week and get this, teachers appreciation week happens the week before Mothers Day! How precious is that? I also want to especially let parents and grandparents know to honor teachers because the fact is they do what they do to impact our young people. I don't care if they're a preschool teacher, grade school, middle or high school teacher, honor them. Also some teachers may be college professors, homeschool parents, my mom formerly was one) teacherpreneurs (As I am and others. They're half teacher and half business owners) or teachers of the Word of God. That can either be a Sunday school teacher, a pastor/teacher, (many pastors I grew up with are both of those) or someone that leads Bible study (as I do among many others) It's very important to honor teachers who teach the Word of God as well. After all the Word of God is the most important book ever written and there's so much to teach from God's Word! Let's also not forget that the Holy Spirit teaches and when our Lord was on earth He taught too! Plus teaching is a spiritual gift in fact in the book of Ephesians 4 talks about the fivefold ministry gifts and they are Apostleship, prophets, (prophets from the Bible and prophets in our day too) pastors, evangelists, (the late Billy Graham fit that bill perfectly!) and teachers! Teaching is included in the fivefold ministry office! Teachers, teaching is more than a ''profession'' it's a spiritual gift and office! Don't let anyone undermine how powerful that is. Plus teachers are to mold, shape, and inspire students whether they teach from the classroom, teach at home, (homeschool parents) or even teach the Word of God. Guys it's so important to also pray for our teachers. How can we pray for them? Pray that they don't ''burn out''. Burn out is no joke, pray that God will refresh them. Pray that they have patience with each student, pray that students will honor them like they should as well as the parents, and pray that they don't get overwhelmed by the challenges of teaching. Ladies, teachers need our prayers more than ever before! That's the best gift you can give to a teacher for teachers appreciation week is to pray for them. Also encourage them and if you like give them a meaningful gift. It's important to give credit where credit is due. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Blessings, hope this blog encourages you, and have a blessed day everyone.
