Hi ladies it's me again and hope y'all are doing well. I'm back with another blog and the title of it is called ''Glad Tidings Of Great Joy''. This blog is based upon what took place in Luke 2 a very well familiar Scripture that talks about the shepherds and angels. I'm sure most of y'all know this story by heart but yet I don't want us to lose the ''awe'' of this glorious moment. Y'all also need to understand that shepherds especially back then were not ''highly esteemed'' by society or in the religious system! That's very important to note. Also it's important to note that usually the youngest male in the family was called upon to be a shepherd. King David as many of us know was a shepherd prior to him killing Goliath and later being a warrior, king, and Psalmist. Shepherds were also common people as most of us are. God sent angels to minister to lowly shepherds and people who were considered the ''least of these'' to be the first to hear the gospel and to hear of Jesus' birth! Of course we know the shepherds were afraid and we know that the angel told them where Christ was to be born! These ''outcasts'' got to see Jesus be born first and told everyone about it! Remember the Christmas carol ''Go Tellin On The Mountain?'' That is based upon the shepherds experience on the first Christmas night! Jesus came for the least, last, lowest, and for common people like you and !! Let's be thankful that God chose ''common people'' to be the first to witness Christ's birth as we know the Magi would visit later. That's what I wanted to share with y'all. Blessings, Merry Christmas, and have a nice week in the Lord!
