Honoring The Blessed Virgin Mary

Hi ladies it's me again and happy Lord's day! I hope and pray that each of you ladies and your families are doing well. I'm happy to present another blog called "Honoring The Blessed Virgin Mary". That's featured in chapter 6 of my latest book called my "20 Day Christmas Devotional". I share in that chapter the myths people think about the Virgin Mary claim she's a "perpetual virgin" meaning she never had any other kids or that she's sinless and that we should pray to her! (PS many traditional Catholics pray to her while Charismatic Catholics don't.) The truth is Mary is a human being like us who needed a Savior and she had other kids after Jesus was born! She had other kids such as James the Just (who wrote the book of James) Jude (who wrote the book of Jude) Simon and Joses and had unnamed daughters! (Side note James and Jude and the siblings didn't believe in Jesus as Lord, Savior, and Messiah prior to Christ's death on the cross and they didn't get saved until after the resurrection of Christ. ) The thing was the Virgin Mary was likely a farmer, (The 2006 movie "The Nativity Story" does a good job portraying that) a teenager, (likely 13 to 16 years old) and a godly young woman engaged to a godly man and carpenter named Joseph as the Bible says. The angel Gabriel appeared to her mentioned in Luke 1 and told she'll be the mother of the Son of God! The angel did say she's "blessed among other women" as well and has found favor with God. Mary of course was worried because that meant being pregnant before the wedding and back in ancient times was taboo which means not an accepted practice. It would have gotten her in trouble with the law, her parents, fiance Joseph, and the Jewish leaders of the synagogue. But she still said yes to God despite the odds against her. That's why we honor her the way we do. It's because of her obedience Christ was conceived through the Holy Ghost was born in Bethlehem who would grow up to save humanity. If you ladies want to read about that check out my "20 Day Christmas Devotional" on this websites store tab or Amazon. That's what I wanted to share with you ladies. Blessings, happy Lord's day, Merry Christmas, and check out my book!
